Here's How you Can Help The Bahamas Relief Effort

If you're as heartbroken as we are to know about the devastation that's recently hit the Bahamas in the wake of Hurricane Dorian, here's your chance to lend your support to the relief efforts taking place.

See below for a list of charities supporting Bahamas disaster relief.

ADRA is doubling your donation. Emergency gifts will be DOUBLED to help those affected by disasters, including Hurricane Dorian. Doubled donations provide urgent immediate assistance and also support rebuilding and healing in communities well into the future.

The Red Cross is on the ground helping with key relief items like shelter, food, water, medicine, and communications.

Global Giving has established the Hurricane Dorian Relief Fund to provide emergency supplies and long-term assistance to help in rebuilding.

The Grand Bahama Disaster Relief Foundation is providing information on where donors in the United States can drop off supplies to send to the Bahamas.

World Central Kitchen, led by founder José Andrés, is currently on the ground setting up kitchens to feed those displaced by the hurricane.
Visit the websites to learn more about each organization, and to find out if donations are tax-deductible in the U.S.

Thank you to The New York Times for the above information. Visit this page at NYTimes.com for more details on how to help.
